Pre-schooler’s (0-5 years) music classes

Welcome to our interactive music fun with live ukulele songs for you and your pre-schoolers!

We perform songs and encourage your children to play the ukulele, shakers, drums and other musical instruments as part of a musical story journey!

Our songs include modern pop songs to get everyone’s day started in a positive way.

Fun interactive games within the story teach children language skills, counting, about concepts such as animals, seasons or space, co-ordination through dance and more – all in line with EYFS.

We run two classes at Brighton Girls School, Temple Gardens; one on Tuesday and the other on Friday. Prices as follows:

  • Drop-in – £6 per class

About the classes

Music classes introducing babies and toddlers to the magic of music. Ukulele children’s books and stories are brought to life in the class with educational actions and props to help little minds grow. Stories we have performed include ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’, ‘The Rainbow Fish’, ‘The Ugly Five’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and many more.

At key points in the musical story, parents of babies and the older toddlers have the option to try learning an extremely simple one-chord song on the ukulele. Ukuleles are available to borrow free of charge.

Free tea and coffee are served.

Early Years Foundation Stage

We work to follow EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) in these classes. Our classes incorporate EYFS guidance on Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the world, Expressive Arts and Design, Communication and more.
