We are thrilled to offer private lessons through Ukeboxbaby! These lessons are one-to-one or small group and can be held online or at your home in Brighton and Hove. Timings are flexible and can be during or outside of school hours, perfect for children in all types of education.
Private lessons are taught by Gina, one of our Ukeboxbaby teachers. Gina has a first-class honours degree in music from Surrey’s prestigious Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM, Guildford) and a Postgraduate
in Music Composition from The British and Irish Institute for Modern Music (BIMM, Brighton). She has extensive experience in music education and teaches a range of disciplines including songwriting, music theory, production and other instrumental lessons. Gina has also worked with Brighton & Hove Music & Arts County and earned accreditations from them in musicianship and videography. Alongside working with Ukeboxbaby, she runs youth arts council programmes, through AudioActive, to help young people form their first band and record their first EP.
Private lessons offer something different to our after-school clubs – it is proven that younger children engage better in the comfort of their own homes and it gives them a form of learning dissociated from school. Private lessons are completely adapted to the child’s pace and needs and are focused on songs they want to learn. What’s more, many parents like to learn alongside their children which enhances learning and creates lovely parent-child moments!
Like our other classes, private lessons are supported by our online content, as found on our YouTube Channel and other social media.
