🌟 Queen’s Hall Theatre – Cranbrook, Kent: September 2023
We loved performing at the Queen’s Hall Theatre in Cranbrook, as part of their musical children’s day. The day was full of acts, and even our very own DJ Daddy played a kid friendly dance set!
🪄 Christmas Party – Big Beach Café, Hove Lagoon: Sunday 17th December, 2023
Wowzers! An amazing Christmas party where we were packed to the rafters! Lovely to see the children playing and the adults singing; and we even had a visit from Santa 🙂
💖 Summer Party – Big Beach Café, Hove Lagoon: Sunday 16th July, 2023
Despite a very windy day meaning we couldn’t put up our backdrop, we had a great time in the sunshine! The new awning at the Big Beach provided the perfect venue for our show, with children (and adults) doing the conga line, and even dancing on the tables!
Jolly Good Festival – South of England Showground, Haywards Heath
We brought the Ukeboxbaby magic to West Sussex for the Jolly Good Festival on the 17th of June. We opened the festival on the mainstage and delivered our Rainbow Fish story to a whole new audience. Rainbow sticks flew as the sun shone down on picnic blankets and hay bales. Throughout the afternoon we hosted ukulele workshops in our own tent, creating magical moments for parents and children alike.
Brighton Fringe Festival 2023
What an incredible experience it was to perform at our first Fringe Festival. Nothing makes us happier than to be connected with our local community and the Brighton Fringe truly is a hub for just that. We performed two shows in the heart of the city – Caravanserai’s tent in Grand Parade – during Spring half term. Our first show in Luna Parc, the venue’s biggest stage, was sold out and was filled with confetti, magic and laughter. After selling out our second show (originally scheduled in Junk Poets) way in advance, it was relocated to Luna Parc due to popular demand and the success of show one!
This event was a real team effort. Our Ukeboxbaby festival team worked their socks off as always, on stage and behind the scenes, and we collaborated with friends and community members to create our props. In addition to our set and hand props, the children at Brighton Girls School made many of our ribbon sticks and our stunning giant sea animals were generously provided to us by Brighton and Hove Montessori.
We’ve never felt so connected to our audience and the people that make our home city so special, and we received rave reviews from the little people and their parents who came to embrace the Ukeboxbaby magic!
Brighton Girls Family Festival
We were so happy to be asked to headline at a new local children’s festival, which took place in April, run by Brighton Girl’s School. There were various stalls – including our very own Ukeboxbaby stall! Festival goers received information about our classes and purchased our official merchandise. The festival was enjoyed by many and it was a pleasure to perform alongside a host of local and national children’s entertainers.

Ukeboxbaby Christmas Parties – Big Beach Café, Hove Lagoon
After the success of our Big Beach Summer party, we were honoured to have been asked to organise two Ukeboxbaby Christmas parties at The Big Beach Cafe in Hove Lagoon. Unlike our summer party, this party was inside the cafe, which gave our Christmas community events an intimate atmosphere.
Both parties involved Christmas singalongs and (optional) ukulele playalongs alongside a whole host of games and prizes. In addition, there were free gifts for every child and a visit from Santa. Us Ukeboxbaby ladies had the best time leading the event, made even more special by performances from local musicians. We got to debut our second release ‘Little Spider’ at these parties!
Camp Bestival 2022
We were delighted to have performed at both Camp Bestival Dorset and Shropshire this year on two of the main stages every morning. Along with amazing acts to watch, there was great food, wild swimming in a lake, yoga and much more! If you’ve not been to Camp Bestival before, we can recommend it 🙂
Ukeboxbaby Summer Party – Big Beach Cafe, Hove Lagoon
We organised a summer party in collaboration with Fat Boy Slim’s Big Beach Cafe. The Ukeboxbaby ladies sang, led games with prizes and dancing. We taught some children’s songs on the ukulele to some lovely local children. In addition, we co-ordinated a host of supporting local acts to take part in our event.
The sun was shining, and the crowd was amazing. It was so much fun, and was lovely to get so many lovely families together from our local community. We also released our first Ukeboxbaby song at this event, ‘Rainbow Fish’.
